Short Story Spotlight: Just one more tweak...

One thing I've learned as I've grown older is that emotions are all or nothing--you can't stifle the ones you don't like without also stifling the ones you do. I always notice people who 'just don't want to feel bad' and wonder if they realize what they're doing to themselves. I have written more than one story that has a character take this desire to not feel to ridiculous extremes.

Just one more tweak... is one such story. The prompt for this story was:

Write about someone whose desire to constantly improve something borders on obsessive.

Dr. Adams wants to improve people by getting rid of those pesky little emotions that make them so damn complicated. We watch her grapple with yet another test subject as she fights to make her crazy dream a reality.
